As I reflected on the journey that Historic Virginia Key Beach Park (HVKBP) has embarked upon, I couldn’t help but feel immense pride in the milestones achieved. From its historic significance as a “colored only” beach to its present-day status as a beacon of unity, diversity, and environmental conservation, it was special to see that this park holds a special place in the hearts of locals and visitors alike as we all gathered on our 78th anniversary.
In the spirit of progress, we are embracing National Black Business Month as the time to recognize and celebrate the contributions of black entrepreneurs, creators and innovators to our community and beyond. We extent an open invitation to black-owned businesses to join us as vendors and service providers. May Historic Virginia Key Beach Park act as a platform for black businesses to showcase their products, services and talents. If you are a black entrepreneur looking for an opportunity to connect with us, we welcome you with open arms.
Thank you, once again, to everyone who made the 78th-anniversary celebration and Historic Virginia Key Beach Park Day an unforgettable event. Together, we honor the past, celebrate the present, and look forward to an even brighter future for Historic Virginia Key Beach Park.
Signed,
Mr. Neil Hall, FAIA
