Donations are an important resource to the Park’s operations. Your giving helps us to provide cultural and environmental programs for the community and to make needed renovations, preserve, and maintain this valuable public space and resource. This year’s gift will assist us to make park improvements at the entrance of the Park and launch our Museum Endowment Fund.
Give Miami Day 2018 Historic Virginia Key Beach Park (HVKBP) will host a Call-a-thon from 9:00 am to 9:30 pm. Get involved in the fun as volunteers assist us to call previously contacted community residents to remind them to go online and donate to the Historic Virginia Key Beach Park Fund.

When is Give Miami Day?
Give Miami Day 2018 is Thursday, November 15th. The 24-hour event begins at 12 a.m. EST on November 15th and ends at 12 a.m. EST on November 16th.
Who hosts Give Miami Day?
Give Miami Day is hosted by The Miami Foundation, a community foundation that helps charitable donors become champions for the issues they care about. The Foundation does not collect any fees and hosts Give Miami Day as part of our mission to promote philanthropy throughout Greater Miami.
Who can make a gift?
Anyone! This event is open to the public, and anyone across the globe may participate by making a gift at givemiamiday.org on Thursday, November 15th.
How can I make a gift?
Gifts can be made via debit, credit or qualified gift card (VISA, MasterCard, Discover and American Express) or through a Donor Advised Fund at The Miami Foundation. You may make a gift on the givemiamiday.org home page, through a nonprofit’s profile on givemiamiday.org, or via an embedded Give Miami Day donation form on a nonprofit’s website.
Can I make gifts to multiple organizations?
Yes, and you’re encouraged to do so. The easiest way to do this is through the multi-gift option on the givemiamiday.org home page. Simply enter your first gift and then click the “Add gift” button to add another nonprofit to your giving list.
Is there a minimum or maximum gift?
The minimum gift amount is $25. There is no maximum gift amount. Please note: only gifts between $25 and $10,000 are eligible for funds from the Bonus Pool.
What kind of cards do you accept?
We accept VISA, MasterCard, Discover and American Express credit and debit cards. You may also use a qualified gift card (VISA, MasterCard, Discover or American Express).
Can I make my gift with check, cash, money order or PayPal?
No. Gifts may only be made via the credit, debit or qualified gift cards listed above.
How much of my gift will go to the nonprofit?
Nonprofits will receive the entire gift amount you designate, plus Bonus Pool funds and/or eligible prizes and minus credit card and transaction fees estimated at 4.5%. The transaction fee is paid to Kimbia, The Miami Foundation’s giving day technology partner. The Miami Foundation hosts Give Miami Day as part of our mission to promote philanthropy throughout Miami-Dade County and does not collect any fees for Give Miami Day.
If you make a gift through a Donor Advised Fund at The Miami Foundation, neither credit card nor transaction fees are assessed; your entire donation plus Bonus Pool funds will go to the nonprofit.
Can I pay for the credit card fees on the donation I’m making?
Yes. Donors have the option when giving to help cover the estimated 4.5% credit card and transaction fees for their donations. You will be prompted to opt-in to this option when completing the credit card form.
How can I make a gift for someone else?
If you’re making a gift on behalf of another person, you may include their name under the “This gift is” option on your giving form. We recommend adding a note in the “Comments or Special Instructions” section of the form indicating a thank-you note should be sent to that person. You may also make a gift in honor or in memory of someone. Please include their name under the same “This gift is” option.
Is my gift tax deductible?
Yes. Your gift and any fees you may choose to cover are fully tax-deductible. You will receive an itemized receipt from email@example.com to submit with your taxes after making a gift. Only receipts sent from The Miami Foundation may be used for tax purposes.
Can I receive anything in exchange for my gift?
No. Gifts made on Give Miami Day may not be used to pay for anything that might be perceived as a material benefit to the donor, including tickets to events, membership fees or other incentives.
