As we welcome November at Historic Virginia Key Beach Park, we enter a month filled with reflection, appreciation, and community spirit. It\u2019s a time to honor those who have served, to celebrate our shared history, and to give thanks for the incredible people who make our mission possible.<\/p>

This month holds special meaning for us \u2014 from\u00a0Veterans Day to\u00a0Give Miami Day\u00a0and\u00a0Thanksgiving, each moment reminds us of the values that unite us: service, gratitude, and giving back.<\/p>

At Historic Virginia Key Beach Park, we are proud to continue the legacy of those who came before us \u2014 leaders and veterans who fought for equality, access, and preservation. Their dedication inspires our ongoing commitment to protecting this historic land and ensuring it remains a place of education, reflection, and joy for generations to come.<\/p>

In the spirit of\u00a0National Gratitude Month, I want to personally thank each of you \u2014 our volunteers, partners, donors, and visitors \u2014 for the countless ways you\u2019ve shown support throughout the year. Your generosity fuels every restoration project, educational program, and environmental initiative that keeps this park thriving.<\/p>

The last weekend of October, volunteers of all ages gathered at\u00a0Historic Virginia Key Beach Park\u00a0for a Halloween-themed coastal cleanup \u2014 and the impact was\u00a0spooktacular!<\/p>

Together with our partners at\u00a0@seakeepers\u00a0and the amazing students and families from\u00a0@seawolves.terra, we removed\u00a0238 pounds of trash\u00a0from our shoreline. From protecting wildlife to learning smarter waste habits, every piece collected made a difference.<\/p>

Of course, it wouldn\u2019t be a Halloween cleanup without a little fun!<\/p>
